he's been on my mind since 2016, gave him a new design concept in 2020, then actually finalised it in 2023.
tl;dr he's the sani telethia. i gave sani a backstory and that's who they are. :)
they were very close to ending zanza's cycle of rebirth and destruction, but ended up transforming because of zanza's failsafe... and so the divine seer (alvis) told him that he cannot change their fate, but he could at least make it less painful, and that's why sani remains by alvis's side.
alvis genuinely wanted to end zanza's suffering alongside lo'crean but obviously zanza saw it all as a threat and it just made alvis reboot himself. OTL
