When I looked at him one of the first things I thought about for some reason was like, the masks or I don't quite remember what it's called from how they made old sculptures in old mexico/the panted looking faces from the book of life in the land of the dead/remembered

Are you thinking of the 'sugar skull' theme? I wasn't actually going for that with this bab (it's a halloween theme for me, rather than dia de los muertos!) but i understand the connotation haha <3 thank you ;v;
