Profile

It can't see, exactly. Instead, it has heat vision, so it can sense where warm-blooded animals are. A way to keep it from sensing you is to drench yourself in water - it can't sense things through water or other liquids.

Its hearing isn't the best. It CAN hear, but only if the sound is very loud.

Its sense of smell is decently strong, but not quite as strong as a dog's or a cat's.

It seems harmless at first, until it opens it mouth and reveals dozens of razor sharp teeth.

Gives off a slight purplish-pinkish glow. If it is approaching, it usually can easily be spotted because of this. However, its glow can blend in with nearby glowing crystals, so it may not be as easily to spot it as it may seem.

It can use its tail as a whip, knocking its prey to the ground to keep it from running.

Eats any living thing it can detect with its heat vision.  It also can lure cave-dwelling bugs into its mouth because of the sweet scent of the flower-like growth around its head. It will sometimes even eat crystals too, if it is desperate enough.

It hops around, kind of like a kangaroo. Despite that it may seem like hopping around a cave may be loud, it is actually barely audible when hopping and it can move around swiftly and stealthily. This is because its soft, velvety fur cushions its landing and muffles the sound. It can also hop from high ledges onto lower ones without injury or much sound.

It's unknown what its small arm-like appendages are used for, since they don't seem to be very useful.

It is thought that there is a way to tame this beast, but no one knows how. For some reason, it won't attack Thorne the seer, and sometimes it will even follow him around like a curious child. Occasionally it will even try to nuzzle its head against his fur and make strange purring sounds. Even Thorne doesn't know why the creature does this, but he enjoys its company. Perhaps even it can sense that he is lonely.
