  • • Soras is a nationalist for his Kingdom early in the story, and therefore somewhat unintentionally racist towards people from other Kingdoms. This behavior is unlearned over time.
• Homophobia 🟡 🔵
  • • Soras asks a Priest of the Church of Andreu about being gay and quite literally gets slapped and told that such things are against the Goddess. He then proceeds to think there's something horribly wrong with himself for a long time. Most people in the story don't know about other sexualities and the church opposes them.
• Mental Illness (Depression) 🔴
  • • Soras suffers from very notable, severe depression. He struggles to sleep, wake up in the mornings, and often completely lacks in motivation to complete tasks. This is a very present theme with his character. He does learn to cope with it over time and even improves, but it's worth note how often this theme comes up for him.

  • • One of Soras's major spells allows him to control another person's body. They may be aware that they are being puppeted, but can do nothing about it.
