Personality

As a child, Hanazakari was bright-eyed, curious and into everything. She couldn't learn enough and was essentially a sponge. She never met a stranger, and often made friends(least she thought so) with everyone she met.

As a teenager and young woman, she was demure and sweet, often being likened to a cherry blossom due to her gentle nature. This is the nature that brought many suitors her way and had Ryouran head over heels for her.

Now as an adult, weather and seasoned by misfortune, she is now a solemn woman, who speaks softly. She is nervous around certain types of people, but she doesn't let it stop her from getting out and tending to people. She is aware of how precious life can be and does her best to preserve it when she can. She knows sometimes it's just time, but she still has issues coming to grips when she loses a patient. 

She cares deeply for those around her, even if fear of losing them keep her from letting them get close to her.  

Appearance

Standing at 5'2, Hanazakari is considered petite. Her body, encased in fair, smooth and soft skin, is curvy with ample bosom and wide hips. She prefers to hide her feminine curves under elaborate kimonos and hakama, preferring people to see her for the pretty clothing she wears rather than the voluptuous body she has.

She often times wears her long, pink and purple hair down, letting the soft waves cascade over her shoulders. The fox ears that crown her head are a shade of purple that matches her hair but is tipped in a soft ashy black. She has three matching kitsune tails, often keeping them loosely bound together with a lightweight bind to keep them out of her way. To protect her dainty feet, she usually keeps them covered with either tabi socks and geta sandals, or plain, crudely made sandals.

Under her bangs, a pair of amber eyes stare out and observe her world carefully from above soft cheeks, and rosy, full pink lips.

Story

Born to Hotoke, an infamous 5 tailed kitsune, renowned for her powers, and her kindness to humans. Hotoke often acted as a "Doctor" to humans due to her ancient knowledge of herbs and plants, and often times imparted this knowledge to her daughter. As she grew, Hanazakari began to exhibit a special power over plants, and their growth that helped her mother decide to have a serious focus on training her daughter to become a healer. Yet, while her mother could impart a lot of wisdom and knowledge to her, she couldn't train her how to cultivate her powers to the highest potency.

Knowing this need, and the fact her daughter should be around other's of their kind, Hotoke moved them to a small "den" of kitsune. It was here, that Hanazakari came under the tutelage of Ryouran, a 9 tailed kitsune who took interest in her powers. Ryouran took great delight in teaching the young kitsune on the true strength of her powers, and the dangers it could possess. It was under Ryouran's, and Hotoke's watchful and loving care that Hanazakari grew into a beautiful woman, and a successful medicine woman.

Over the years, and thanks to her mother's already established relationship, Hanazakari had no issue setting up her own practice and having humans, and fae alike come to her in need of something. Over time word of her beauty spread, just like dandelion seeds in the wind, and this would ultimately bring something to light. As suitors came to try and court the young kitsune, Ryouran broke his vow of silence, revealing a secret to her that he had been hiding. This wise, and beautiful kitsune had fallen in love with her. Hanazakari was elated, and excited, to be loved back by the man whom she had admired for so long, and with her mother's, and the God's blessing, they were to be married.

Yet, their wedding was never to be. One night, a young kitsune had pulled a "harmless" prank on a tengu... and in a rage, the tengu gathered a small mob and followed the kitsune back to its den. Before Dawn, the night was stained with the blood of the Kitsune, laying waste to all who called that den home. Only one to be spared the tengu's wrath was Hanazakari as she had gone to tend to a child of a tengu's clan. Coming home, and finding the bloodshed broke the young woman, especially as she came to find her beloved laid slain at the foot of her house. He had died coming to her mother's rescue.

Heartbroken, and scorned by tengus, Hanazakari packed a few precious things and left her home. She took to a nomadic lifestyle, traveling to and fro, using her healing knowledge and her Earthern powers to make money. After a good century passed of living like this, she has started to think about settling down once more... but she's still seeking the perfect place to do so.

● Can grow and destroy all sorts of plants.

● A little distrusting of certain types of people- fae or not.

● Uses the mortar and pestle her mother had used.

● Often times leaves patches of her favorite flower, Camellia, wherever she goes.

● Hanazakari's clan was at war with the Tengu clan for years. It was the "prank" that finally broke the fragile truce between the two clans, and caused the massacre of the Kitsune clan.
