Background
Ascia's origin story is shrouded in mystery, as they were present even before the very beginning of time. They were born out of the chaos that preceded the creation of matter, and their essence is interwoven with the fabric of existence. Despite their omnipotent power, Ascia never sought worship or recognition from their creations. Despite that, they would often visit and interact with their creations, happily sharing progress on how their world was evolving.
Without warning, divine schisms flared into full-blown warfare amongst the other deities. Ascia watched, helpless, as groups after groups of God's perished alongside their creations. Trivial disagreements had spiraled into a cataclysmic conflict that shook Ascia to their core. The destruction –the mortality— was unlike anything they'd seen or imagined.
The war's aftermath drove Ascia into self-imposed isolation — their buoyant persona replaced with disinterested apathy. They were disillusioned not just with the godly realm but also with their own power. Having witnessed civilizations' cyclical rise and fall, the war solidified a sobering realization — everything was ephemeral.
