Emmett has a rather calm, obedient, responsible yet reserved personality. He's a really smart 13-year old kid who takes honor classes due to high expectations from his dad. Although he studies a lot, he managed to find time to do photography, spending time with his sister, and spending time with friends. He's not very assertive and tends to go along with the flow, often making up ideas as the plans go.
He lives with his dad at a luxurious studio apartment. Even though Emmett lives a nice life with him, his dad tends to have VERY high expectations on him, because of how gifted Emmett is. Although Emmett won't admit it, he feels like he's contanstly pressured to get all As, up to the point he felt so much stress and is afraid to get anything lower then an A. Although Emmett knew that his dad really cares for him in the end, they don't want to be a disappointment to his whole family or really anyone in general.
Not everyone really knows, but Emmett lives a second life at the sea ever since being cursed by an unknown spirit. His personality as this "secondary" identity is rather the resen. This part of Emmett is much more secretive and he's afraid if everyone found out about his curse and his second identity, his legacy will be tarnished and shattered forever and will lose all of his friends, and his family disconnecting (cutting ties) from him.

Backstory
Pre-Curse
Emmett lived a fairly normal life. Despite his first years being a bit rough (because of how his parents argue a lot), he managed to impress his family because of how academically smart Emmett is. Later on, at the age of 8, his parents divorced and his father took Emmett to live at him. Although he didn't really get to see his mother again, at least he still gets company from his younger sister. As he got a bit older, expectations got higher and higher, which is quite rough to him, to make things worse, he's admittly a "little" jealous about some other student at school, who's a lot more gifted than him.
Getting Cursed
Although school went VERY well for him, he studies so hard that he barely cares about his own health. Emmett was pushing himself too hard to be the best at academics at his school plus studying a lot for his tests and classes, only for the approval he deserves. This stressfulness and envy got into him so much that leads him to get cursed by a certain spirit. Of course he isn't aware until the vacation he had with his father.
Post-Cursed
After this curse they were "granted", Emmett was afraid of himself, he does his best to keep his life normal as possible, with some subtile changes about himself. Even though life still seemly seems the same, his curse just got worse each day passing. He's just afraid of everything around him, about his secret being discovered, being a disappointing and doesn't want to fail to fulfill orders. Obviously, his secret was discovered unintentionally by his younger sister, Ribbi. Instead of her pushing him away just because who Emmett is, she is quite worried for him, and been looking for him to give a gift to her. Everyone else later on found out in various ways, and accepted who he is now. Nowadays, although he still goes to school and studies hard, he tries his best to relax and won't let stress get to him anymore and tries his best to push away the feelings of envy he felt throughout those damned 3 years.
Relationships
Ribbi and Emmett are siblings, as Ribbi is the younger one. Although that his younger sister tends to annoy him a bit because she wants to play with the froggies and tadpoles with him when he's studying. Despite that, he really enjoys her company and does take breaks from his studies to spend time with her to play outside. Emmett would do anything to make sure that Ribbi's safe and sound, and makes sure that she's ok as she's running around everywhere she shouldn't go.
Mendel is Emmett's father, a really successful, rich man who is the CEO of a publishing books and printers company. Because of this, Emmett tends to push himself really hard as possible to impress and get the approval of his father, because he knew that his father tends to focus on his studies a lot and Emmett doesn't want to disappoint him. He just doesn't want to be known as the underachieving good-for-nothing son to his father.
Emmett greatly cares for his mother's health, because of how fragile and hard-working she is. However, the relationship between his mother and father didn't work out well so a divorce happens as Emmett didn't really get to see Dorinda often. Whenever he does get to spend time with his mother, Emmett likes to help his mom with sewing up costumes and helping her out as much as he could.
Emmett doesn't like Glisten Spirit Cookie, in fact, he strongly dislikes it. She managed to curse him when he felt so stressed, pressured and envy of others who managed to be way smarter then Emmett despite how "gifted" he is. No matter how much he doesn't want to, he's forced to work under her orders, and do many things against his own will. Although much more recently, he starts to pity the vengeful spirit for what happened to her in the past, somewhere long ago.

- There's no way how to cure this curse he obtained 3 years ago from a vengeful spirit, but thanks to the star get got from Ribbi, he won't permantally be in siren form forever.
- He used to never really hold grudges against anyone, but after being cursed, he started to hold very little grudges against various people.
- His favorite animal is the bumblebee. He admire how hard-working those animals are.
- Emmett wants to be a writer at one point, but gave up due to studies and the curse, but later on regain those dreams again after meeting a certain someone.
- If you pour a bucket of water onto Emmett, he will be forced into his siren form.
