Vermillion »

A skilled craftsman from the Splatlands and the elder sister of Orange, this Inkling knows the ins and outs of any weapon - a fascination that only grew ever since she was little. Vermillion enjoys nothing more than tinkering with weapon parts to make them feel more accessible to both herself and any other cephalopods interested in her services. Aspiring to create a large business, Vermillion attempted to get a head start by creating blueprints for what eventually would become the Ultra Stamp special. Unfortunately, these diagrams ended up mysteriously missing one day and another company manufactured the special - without Vermillion's credit. Though feeling defeated, this Inkling refuses to give up, continuing to theorize and craft prototypes of weapons.

As Vermillion is invested in anything weaponry-related, she takes up a considerable amount of Salmon Run shifts to closely observe the Salmonid artillery. On one fateful shift, a Smallfry ended up sneaking into this Inkling's bag! Surprised at first, Vermillion ended up taking care of this Smallfry and named them Paprika. While a bit of a rascal, Paprika provides helpful insight for Vermillion.

Vermillion's search for weapon inspiration around the Splatlands led her to find the Crater thanks to Paprika leading the way, encountering Captain Cuttlefish. Recruited for the New Squidbeak Splatoon, Vermillion's missions as the New Agent 3 involved a lot of...interesting...encounters. Nevertheless, she remains on the agent team to test out her weapon prototypes should they need their help.

In a distant universe, it appears that this Inkling was tasked with a completely different mission - saving Inkadia from freezing over with the help of some peculiar agents! Wonder what that's about...eh, it's probably nothing THAT dire.
