Profile

A caring, big-sisterly PC gijinka. Thanks to her modularity, she's almost always in her prime.

Many different devices pass through Will and Vivian's care—some of them get too slow to keep up as one of their daily drivers, others start suffering from issues that would be cheaper to replace than to fix, and a few of them just straight-up die from unfortunate circumstances. But the one gijinka who has stayed in active service for longer than anyone else would be Memoria. She was built from scratch, and thanks to that, she's always repairable and always upgradable.

Sometimes that does get to her, though—there are friends along the way she's lost, and while the other devices may not remember, Memoria does not forget so easily.

"As a tower PC I have the easiest time remembering things—keeping more is just a hard drive installation away. Why is it so important that I remember? I don't just remember for myself, but also for all my friends who've forgotten about their friends, their lives, and even themselves. After all, it's our memories that make us who we are. Isn't that true of humans, too?"

Details
Nissa
❤❤❤❤
Being four years her senior, Mem looks up to Nissa. The two have been close since the very beginning, but lately Mem has been worried about Nissa's health as she continues to age.
Iris
❤❤❤❤
Despite what you might think of the old Mac vs. PC rivalry, Memoria actually gets along really well with Iris, to the point where Iris affectionately nicknames her "Poppy" as if she was one of the Apple gijinka. Mem initially resisted on this, but started going with it because it makes her feel younger.

Trivia

  • Her name and poppy motif are a reference to her being built on November 11, which is Remembrance Day in Canada. There's an actual poppy pin stuck to the irl PC.
