Personality
Miruku is a quiet boy who maintains a stoic and aloof persona at all times. He is known among certain circles in the idol world as "the industry's most manufactured idol", and looking at the way he presents himself, it's not hard to see why. Miruku is habitually dishonest and cares more about the image he's presenting to the world than what he actually wants. His pettiness and true judgemental nature are, of course, not part of that image, and thus are among the things he will blatantly lie about, no matter how obvious it actually is that he's lying.
Miruku dislikes being looked down upon for his age. He sees himself as a senior to even idols that are older than him, due to his position as someone who was raised to take part in the industry. He has a tendency to lecture his unitmates (apart from the ever-oblivious Muchi) and frequently attempts to guide them on the "correct" path as idols. He has incredibly high standards for all idols, including himself.
Backstory
Miruku was born in Tokyo, Japan to the Shiroganes, a couple heavily connected to the idol industry. From the moment he was brought into the world, Miruku has been a public figure. He had his own social media account before he could even talk, as his parents enjoyed flaunting him and every step of his life off to the world. From the moment he was brought into the world, it was decided - he would be a star.
As soon as Miruku reached schooling age, he began being privately tutored in all things idol-related. His parents called in many favors from their friends within the industry and paid a good amount of money in order for his education to be the best quality it could be. Once he reached middle schooling age, he was sent to Reimei Academy's middle school branch to continue his education. Many of his classmates were just getting started, but he had gotten a headstart. His public image had been decided for him before he even hit double digits - a stoic idol whose composure was contrasted by his youth.
The way Miruku was raised may be more comparable to a prized pet than a human child, but it wasn't like he minded this - that was simply how his parents loved, after all. He was comfortable, he was happy, he had no reason to complain about his life. His parents pampered him excessively and showered him with endless affection from the moment he was born, and he even had a successful career laid out for him. He was grateful for everything he had.
Life continued on as such, and Miruku became more and more involved in the entertainment industry as he grew. He often starred in commercials and TV dramas before he was allowed to debut, and officially made his debut as an idol on his 13th birthday, much to the envy of his classmates. However, a certain "incident" at Reimei Academy made his parents hesitant to continue his education there. When he turned 14, he officially skipped a year and was transferred to Yumenosaki Academy to continue the rest of his education.
However, it seemed that at this point the era of solo idols was beginning to die out, and units started to prevail instead. It was because of this that when the vice president of New Dimension approached Miruku with an offer to form a new unit with 3 other idols, he accepted. The other idols may be mere amateurs, he thought, but with him there to guide them, there was no way they could fail. He refused to let himself fall behind the rest of the idol world.
Relationships
Katsuya Higuchi
Despite being 10 years younger, Miruku thinks of himself as Katsuya's senior, mainly due to Katsuya's lack of experience compared to him. He is very insistent that Katsuya requires his guidance in order to succeed, and is always quick to question his judgement. If Katsuya gets too tired to argue the issue, Miruku will usually just take it as another win for himself. He's keeping score in his head.
Kanae Yukimura
Miruku dislikes Kanae and will brush off every attempt she makes to appeal to him, much to her dismay. He feels as though she looks down on him too much despite his experience and that she lacks commitment. While he will allow Katsuya and Muchi to be affectionate with him for publicity purposes, he dislikes Kanae too much to allow her to do the same.
Muchi Ogaki
Muchi is the only one in The Cat's Meow that Miruku holds respect for. While he does find Muchi's behavior annoying to deal with from time to time, he commends him for his commitment to his idol persona, and points to him as an example of the type of idol that Katsuya and Kanae should be more like. In actuality, there is no such "idol persona" - Muchi is simply so stupid that Miruku cannot wrap his head around the idea that someone like that can exist in reality, and thus subscribes to the belief that it's all just an elaborately crafted persona.
Trivia
- Despite his name, Miruku is lactose intolerant. He will still drink milk-based products if he's being observed by an audience, though - being a cat-themed idol with the name "Milk" means having a certain image to uphold, after all.
- Miruku is scared of loud noises, ghosts, and the ocean, but pretends he is not. Usually, attempts to frighten him will be met with his dead stare and rapidly paling face, and the firm insistence that he's perfectly fine.
- Miruku likes animated films, but whenever The Cat's Meow have movie nights together, he always votes for some live action drama that he doesn't understand. He thinks it makes him look smarter.
- His circles are BIBLION and Flavor. He doesn't enjoy reading, and hates tea.

i went really self-indulgent when making him bc im gonna be honest i love cringe little kids who try to act cooler than they actually are LMAO one of my favorite character archetypes . One day he'll learn how to get normaller but until then he is the world's most verbose and dishonest baby
