A farmer entered a pumpkin contest, determined to grow one of the biggest pumpkins the world had ever seen. He tilled the soil with love and care, planted the seeds evenly, and watered them each and every day. Each night, the farmer would kneel down, and pray to Gaia to help his pumpkins flourish before crawling into his now empty bed. His wife had fallen ill earlier that year, you see, and she had had quite a green thumb. Flowers flourished and grew 3 times their size under her loving care, trees took deep root into the ground. In turn, he loved and cherished her, until her very last breath, and he buried her into the earth she loved so deeply.

Months would pass, and he never missed a day. Gaia, mother of creation, was sweetened by the words that he uttered, and decided to bless his crops during the night, leaving by the dawn's light. The farmer awoke like normal, tending to his cows, chickens, sheep. When he approached the pumpkins, however, he was in shock to see pumpkins the size of basketballs already growing, when just last night, they had been only sprouting leaves and vines. Yet, this was not what drew his attention.

Amongst the pumpkins, eyes glowing brilliant yellow, and pink tongue hanging from her maw, stood a magnificent, tall golden retriever like creature. A guardian deity, left behind by Gaia to protect his crops, and bring good fortune. She stood as tall as him, at about 6 feet. Her head was a pumpkin, shaped like a dogs face, and carved like a jack-o-lantern. Her ears were made of rather fluffy green leaves, which also surrounded her neck, and made up the fluff on her tail. The rest of her body was a nice golden color, minus the bottom of her paws, which were brown. The farmer entered the living pumpkin creature into that contest, happy as a pig in mud. He ended up winning the contest, with the townsfolk falling in love with the wholesome creature.

They named her Tarot.
