About

Navari, or Ari, is a purple tiefling with a rather guarded personality. They work as a Children's Theatre actor with a troupe called Arcbook, a fairly famous troupe that has several different sections. While travelling, Navari's family comes along with them and also takes part in daily life within th troupe, meaning the tiefling has never been without family for long periods of time in recent history. During one tour, Ari met who would become their future travelling companions.

Adventuring

Ari considers their meeting with the party to be nothing short of unfortunate. While on a well-deserved break from acting, they went to the library to read a few books, mainly for inspiration that could be pulled for future plays. While in the library, they and their party witnessed a strange phenomena in the sky and were tasked by the librarian to pass along this information. Navari left their family and troupe behind in order to complete a mission they really didn't have to complete, dealing with a gaggle of strangers who initially left a sour taste in their mouth, and getting slapped around by a bunch of high-powered magic muscle freaks to boot. Not their idea of a good time.

Life with the party was a blur for Navari. They had introduced themself as MOTHERFUCKER, their "virture" name, thinking that their messaging trip would be one and done. What was supposed to be a quick few days stretched into days to weeks to months. Throughout most of it, Navari didn't feel the need to make friends with any of the people they travelled with, being vaguely rude to downright hostile to all of them. After it became clear that the whole affair was no longer going to be an extended trip, the started making small efforts to be nicer.

Backstory

Ari was raised on a farm, watched closely by their parents. Their early life was horribly uneventful. They only thing of note was their obsession with the hurdy-gurdy. Ari lost their hearing at the age of 18 after they and Dharros got a pretty gnarly sickness. Once recovered, they started learning sign. After adjusting to life without their hearing, they found themselves becoming very bored with the monotany of their life on the farm and longed to do something else.

Ari decided to travel for work and decided on being a musician in various ensembles. During their work, they met a tiefling named Tenacity. The pair ended up in a friend with benefits relationships that ultimatley culminated in a break-up once Ari admitted to catching feelings. Ari later found out they were pregnant. Unwilling to go to Tenacity for various reasons, they ran off to the city and never told him about the child.

Ari worked as a secretary in the city for 5 years to help support their daughter. Unfortunatley, she was always a sickly child and became particularly ill with a sickness that Ari recognized as the one that they and their brother had experienced before. She passed away on the carriage ride to the doctor after a particulary bad week of sickness.

Following Chant's death, Ari found themselves travelling with no real goal for about 50 years before they finally came back to their family. They mainly worked on the farm and did very little else. A few years later, Ari became interested in a travelling theatre torupe that stopped by their hometown. Ari joined the theatre troupe Arcbook as a way to help them cope with Chant's death. They worked the Children's Theatre in hopes of filling the hole in their chest that Chant left.
