enter himani, a motivational fitness influencer straight from basali : 3 they're a bit of a star in their own right, a wildly influential figure online and, too, the gym leader of their very own ice-type gym. they are the heir of the gym after their father's sudden disappearance, and have undertaken the grueling task of changing the type to the very antithesis of basali's landscape-- ice. they've always strived to be the outlier, and ever since stepping foot in keela and seeing the snow on the ground, they've made it their goal to bring that icy goodness cross-dimension. their backstory is nothing if not motivational.

himani is the product of a kodan mother and basali father, sharing their mother's genes with a half-brother who lives in koda. after their father mysteriously disappeared one day in their youth, they'd been preparing to take over his gym ever since they picked up their first pokeball. they were mentored by their step-father and grew to be a great trainer and caretaker to their team, always adoring ice types even if they weren't allowed to have one of their own. they would always make posts online to fawn about everything ice-related, until one fateful birthday where they were surprised with a vacation to keela and were able to catch their very first ice-type pokemon.. the BEAR the bear that doesnt have a name their lovely bear.. and it's still on their team today : ] they love their mons and post about them all the time to their adoring fans, treating each one like their child.
