lily's role as a princess is more personal to herself and their subjects. she is akin to a counselor, or a therapist and her goal is to guide those through times they believe they are incapable of getting out of. just as a firefly lights up the dark night she will light up the way for lost souls.

she is soft spoken and her every move feels intentional. unlike her sisters she is the most calm and caring but that does not mean she is shy in the slightest. i imagine she would be reminiscent to Miss Honey from Matilda!

most of her work is done through both dreams and meeting with the civilians who are in need of help. she doesnt prefer one way or the other as she can accomplish her goal regardless.

she is the weakest flier of the bunch and her magic is what makes her powerful. its quite shocking as well as most would find her large beetle wings to be quite magnificent but they are clumsy and no matter how hard she tries they seem to have a mind of their own.

misses spending time with her sister bookworm. her work just seems to pull her further in the older they get and she has a duty to their people to make sure they have a shoulder to rest on. she isn't overwhelmed, just wishes things were different.

05 — Relationships
Sister
When Firefly has her little lunch dates with Silkie the two are clearly more mature together. Lily imagines its because Silkie has a natural pull to being a bit fun and rowdy so anytime she is in serious company she is happy to take it. Its common for them to have late night tea together and chit chat about things regarding the kingdom. Even though Lily doesn't necessarily talk to Silkie about serious things it seems neither of them want to do that for one another. Silkie helps Lily by keeping things light and happy, she would never use her sister as her own personal therapist as she is sure she hears that enough from the civilians.
Its a breath of fresh air when the two get together. Like two people who have been friends for so long they dont need to speak words to completely understand how the other is doing.
Sister
Lily misses her curious sister often and checks in on her whenever she can when she is sleeping. She finds her dreams to be especially fantastic and has had plenty of conversations with her sister in them. Its how they get most of their time together these days. When Lily feels she needs someone herself to rely on she will turn to Bookworm, as these two sisters are the most laid back, and she is forever grateful for being able to have someone like that.
Since Lily is often the listener when she is working she is actually the one talking when she is with Bookworm. Her sister and her curious nature has Lily often explaining a lot of things to her that she sees in passing. Experiences people have, travelers stories, anything Bookworm can get her hands on she will take. Lily does love talking though so she is happy to share away.
