Past

Indigo was born to Garnet and her husband, along with her twin sister Jacqueline. Her time with her parents were short lived as she and her sister were both taken away from them. While Jacqueline was left for dead, Indigo was brought to be raised by her aunt. Her younger years were relatively fine until Jessabelle started to put her "plan" into motion, using her more so as a tool than seeing her as family. Through the intense training, Indigo was still well protected by Barton, who was aware of Jessabelle's true intentions for her and did what he could to keep her safe. As she grew older, Jessabelle's hold over her grew stronger, causing her to grow distant from her adoptive father and brother. As result, she basically became more like an asset rather than a family member. She went above and beyond in order to impress her and gain her approval, but more than not, her attempts ended up in failure. The result was normally being belittled or even physically abused when she failed.

Present

At one point in time, she overheard Jessabelle talking about Justice and how having her back at the base would bring her great joy. Seeing this as her one chance to finally gain her approval, she went off to find the echidna. Little did she know is that Jessabelle used this to get rid of her for a while, knowing how much more skilled and competent Justice was. Indigo then made her way into the city and attempted to capture Justice, only to be completely humiliated in the process. Ashamed of her failure, she hid out in an alleyway until being taken in by Jacqueline. She is initially very hostile and distrusting of her but her genuine kindness towards her helps her warmup a little bit. Alongside that, she learns that the two have more in common then she thought. During their time together, the two find out they are related due to a blood test and their gemstones reacting to one another. Later, she ends up in the kingdom of Luragal, where she reunites with her mother, learns the truth about her father, and becomes the personal knight of Princess Elizabeth. During her time in the kingdom, she becomes more laid back and less hostile, but still retains her serious demeanor. As time goes by, she forms relationships with the generals in other kingdoms and becomes romantically involved with the fallen deity Kai until his untimely death.
