♔ TRIVIA ♔

• Neither of their parents are Bards but Aspen was so intrigued by music and singing that they learned to play from an early age. It was a good secondary source of income and they discovered that they LOVE to perform.
• Their favourite Wild Shape forms are Owlbear, Wolf, Panther and Cat. They do NOT like interacting much while in Wild Shape, they greatly prefer being able to talk with people.
• Their favourite place in the world is laying with their head in Gale's lap as he reads aloud. Doesn't even care what it is he's reading, they just love listening to his voice.
• Aspen LOVES to nap in the sun, or in the branches of trees.
• They prefer to wear sandals over shoes or boots when possible. It's uncomfortable putting claws inside shoes.
• They were actually partially blind in their right eye before Volo... removed it, and replaced it with the enchanted fake eye, so while painful and incredibly unpleasant it was actually an upgrade for Aspen.
• The scar on their lip came from a nasty street fight following their break-up from their ex Alaria, for a while they very much stopped caring so much about their own wellbeing and ended up on the wrong end of a broken glass bottle.
• They do NOT like the cold or being in snow. Having a frosty tail is extremely unpleasant.
• Aspen will often make comments about things they KNOW will end up with Gale starting an info-dumping lecture just so they can listen to him talk with a silly grin on their face. Gale eventually realises what they did but he still falls for it every time.
• They will constantly braid Gale's hair when they're sitting together just because they enjoy running their fingers through his hair. Often Gale ends up with flowers or beads braided into his hair, he doesn't mind and it makes him smile every time he finds a new random object braided into his hair.
• Aspen is incredibly protective of Gale. They like to always be touching him in some way; a hand on his shoulder or waist, their shoulders bumping together, brushing their hands together, and most often having their tail gently wrapped around his waist or leg.
• Their parents had previously been 99% of their impulse control, which now has become Gale instead, which is unfortunate because neither of them have particularly good impulse control. Many times they've gotten themselves into less than favourable situations simply because they are each others biggest support and worst enabler (as long as it's not too life endangering, like reforging a crown).
• They had a few prior relationships, but only 2 serious ones. The first was a sweet Half-Orc, they got along really well but he had to move away when they were both only teens. It hurt at the time but they met up again a few years later and the spark was definitely gone, they parted on amicable terms though.
  Their second was an Elf named Alaria. At the time, Aspen really thought she was The One and their relationship lasted for 5 and a half years, unfortunately, Alaria did not take it as seriously as Aspen did and eventually cheated on them.
  Aspen's heart was shattered when they found out, and their trust was ruined for a long time. Their parting was NOT amicable at all and there were several arguments over the months following their breakup. Aspen does not like thinking about her.
• Because of their last breakup, mentioned above, they swore off ever falling in love ever again. They'd have hook ups but the hurt from being cheated on was too much and Aspen never wanted to feel that awful ever again. At the beginning of the tadpole adventure they happily flirted with every one of their companions.
  They slept with Astarion more than once, and would have slept with Lae'zel had she not turned them down knowing they'd already been with Astarion and heard them flirting with everyone.
  They fully intended on sleeping with Karlach too but by the time they managed to fix her engine (thanks Dammon!) they realised that Karlach wanted more than they could give, and they had already started having feelings for Gale.
• Aspen's feelings for Gale were confusing for a long while, and kind of scared them. Like the others, they were absolutely intending to have sex with him as a no-strings-attached hook up, but Gale turned them down due to the instability of the orb and they wrote off the idea of getting into his bed.
  However, as their journey progressed, Aspen and Gale ended up growing closer and closer, and by the time they reached the shadow-cursed lands Aspen spent many nights laying awake worrying over what they felt for him. They knew it was more than just casual lust, but refused to acknowledge it for what it was for a long time. It was after a chat with Shadowheart, following their conversation with Astarion where they agreed what he needed was a friend and their relationship would be strictly platonic going forward, that Aspen fully accepted they were in love with Gale.
• The night Gale beat them to it and confessed to them that he was in love with them was both one of the best and most terrifying moments of Aspen's life. They were still incredibly nervous about letting their heart be vulnerable again, but they'd never have forgiven themselves if they rejected Gale and missed out on the chance of being happy.
• They're very sex positive and willing to try a wide range of things, and they're thirsty for Gale 24/7.
