Summary
Mortalis once devoted himself fully to the church and its followers, though once he ascended and found himself among Heaven's ranks, he turned his back towards the filth he once called his faith.
Thus the filthy paladins who call themselves Archangels stripped him of his honor and pride, shoving him into Hell as his skin broke and tore, as his horns contorted and made his appearence unholy.
