Personality

Brash and stand-offish. Ria is quick to seduce anyone he meets, so long as they don't use female pronouns. He perposfully doesn't get attached and sees people as the means to an end, for the most part. He has a temper that comes out more when he's dealing with women, and often picks into arguments with people.

He gets very jealous of people who his brother becomes friends with and often chases them off. Although he acts as if he doesn't care about Rio, he actually cares quite a bit.

Deep down, however, Ria is just a scared little boy who was thrown into a harsh world. He wants nothing more than to just settle down somewhere and accept his quick death at the hands of a curse placed on his heart.

Past

Raised (forcibly) by a group of criminals - the leader of which was a cruel woman - Ria was unable to avoid picking up their skills and habits as a means of survivial. Being a thief isn't exactly ideal... but it's certainly better than any alternatives.

When he was nearing adulthood, Ria's heart suddenly gave out. He barely managed to survive and was told multiple times just how lucky he was to make it... but also that another episode was inevitable and there were no garnetees he would make it again. Due to this, his twin brother Rio decided to pack them onto a cart so they could go and visit a medic in a faraway land, who claims he can cure the disease if they give him an outrageous amount of coin.

Sure enough, the cure ended up doing nothing, causing Rio to spiral into depression and determination to find a cure. Although Ria has repeatedly told him there is no point, Rio continues to push them forward, leaving behind everyone they've met along the way.

Flash forward to the start of the campaign, where Ria and Rio find themselves shipped off to another continent and told to 'never return'.
