Geifnfil

Initially an ambitious human who made a deal with the Great One of the Sea, Geifnfil kept trading anything she could offer in exchange of more and more power. She eventually became so powerful, she was capable of cheating Death herself. Eventually, she battled the same God who granted her divine powers, and won.

She then overtook as the new Great One of the Sea, her form twisted and rotten. She tamed the tides to help sailors, only to torture them with prolongued storms when they least expected it. Capricious and heartless, she became more feared than the previous God. Legends spread about her, about her repulsive scent of putrid fish and her thundering laugh.
