A young boy was thrown into the forest; a young boy was left to die. But he came back, hand in hand with a strange person whom he now shared a soul with. His life was now connected to the forest, so it wasn't only his anymore: both his life and his death now belong to another.

While living with the church, he crossed paths with a young mage and became his student. As years went by, Devon fell in love. But as his mentor changed, he noticed that their paths weren't ones that were meant to stay connected for long.

Years later, he found the same eyes he fell in love with, in the face of a girl who was asking for his help to stop the one who he once loved.
