Sweeter than pie
My 'secret ingredient' isn't secret at all; it's love, plain and simple!
A baker just as sweet as his own creations, Gala is one of the most saccharine people you'll ever meet. With a fluty voice, through-the-roof optimism, and seemingly endless amounts of compassion, Gala spent his days happily serving customers at his humble bakery until he was kidnapped by the nefarious Pizzaface due to his affiliation with Peppino, intended as a hostage. He has since resumed baking, now residing in the Pizza Tower, pleasing the tastebuds of its many inhabitants.
Gala's only fault is that his cheery nature tends to either irritate or unnerve others; his gleefulness is almost unnatural, and his nonstop supply of sweetness makes him, ironically, somewhat unpleasant to be around unless you like that sort of company.
While Gala seems unbreakable, let it be known that it can happen, and if it does, the results are not pretty. If he's pushed too far, you'd best see yourself out.
Pepperman is the unlikely boyfriend of Gala. When Gala was abducted by Pizzaface, he was placed in the art gallery, where the snobbish artist immediately took to his kind and appreciative nature. Gala warms his heart, strokes his ego, and fills his stomach. He also enjoys listening to Gala's singing as he works away at his art; it calms his nerves when he gets too tense.
Peppino is a repeat customer of Gala's. He comes in every morning for a doughnut and coffee. Peppino finds Gala's cheerfulness to be obnoxious; he's really not in the mood for it, given his own miserable situation. Gala, however, considers him to be a friend, even if it's one-sided. Their affiliation with each other is what makes Gala a target of Pizzaface.
