Whimsy grew up in the Deep Forest of Veil with her twin brother, Wick, her mother a potion maker and her father a librarian who introduced her to books and the worlds inside them. Delving into these books created a deeply ingrained thirst for knowledge and is the main contributing factor in Whimsy living a nomadic life venturing far and wide in the pursuit of magical knowledge and paraphernalia to discover and curate.

Whimsy is very passionate about curating magical knowledge and is often lost-in-thought wondering about her latest discovery. Due to the nature of her occupation she does not have a fixed address and lives in a vardo which is led by a hippogriff named Bramble.

Whimsy’s companion is a fox spirit named Thorn, who is able to switch between animal and human form at will. He has a special ability which allows him to travel freely through Whimsy’s virtually limitless bag in order to gather supplies, books, etc. which she stores in her bag for safekeeping. In addition to this he uses his magic to protect Whimsy for whom he feels great affection for.
