Region description: His region is made up of other Sylvan folk, generally located higher up in the mountains or cliffs. They export springwater, “holy water”, ores, wool, healing plants. The area is generally secluded and home to spiritual sites, including temples reminiscent of “monk” factions. <Character> was a part of one at one point.

History: Zairn is a Half-Sylvan, born of a human and a Sylvan. Sylvan communities are small and somewhat secluded, but they attract people who are looking for peace away from common conflicts or intense city life. Zairn was an “energetic” child, and a very active one. He was a gardener at a spiritual center where he also studied martial arts. He fell in love at a young age and was expecting a child with his partner.

Tragedy struck — he lost his family due to pregnancy complications. Perhaps he was searching for a cure when his partner passed, and when he returned, home was no longer home. He felt broken and enraged. This quiet community knew him too well, pitied him too much, said dumb things that weren’t comforting, etc. Zairn can’t help he wants to “fight the world” now, and needs to get out.

Relic hunting was sort of an accident that worked in his favor. His desire to fight with his fists helped him well in his first mission, and the next one after that.

His apathy toward danger and death also helps a lot.

If asked why he does what he does, he’d probably say he wants to save up enough money to move as far away from his homeland as much as he can.
