Yvette is a Reporter of the Steambird who aims to not only fulfill her duties in delivering news with utmost accuracy, but as well as to get a hold of ill-intended rumors and snip them from the roots. She is Kira's older half-sister through their father, being two years older than the Geo Allogene, and lived through the mockeries of having a heartless criminal like their father. All of her wealth and power right now were earned from her own efforts, allowing people to turn a blindeye on her past.

She is rather flirty, not hesitating to flirt with any man she sees regardless of whether or not they have a lover. Still, she admits that this is all for show, and won't hesitate to fight anyone who chooses to cheat on their lover. She also admits that this was born out of shame and longing, given the bad history of exes and flings she had. She can also be rather antagonistic towards her younger half-sister, Kira, especially with regards to her better life and relationships, but will protect her if she hears anyone talking bad about her.

In the end, she eventually gets entangled with Xue's older cousin, Yang Huixing, whom she ends up getting into a romantic relationship with him.
