Background

A low ranking goon from the Majima family, Mitsuda Tatsuo is quite brash for his position. Despite his attitude and what he might tell the others, he really does love and respect his boss, and will go to great lengths to please Majima and the higher ranking men in the family. As much as it pains the momma's boy, Mitsuda tries to distance himself from his mother, afraid for her safety since he's now a part of the Yakuza. He prefers to keep in touch with her through letters and E-Mails.

Born and raised in Osaka, Mitsuda's family life was rough. His father was a lousy drunk, drowning in debt from his daily visits to pachinko parlors and soaplands, often taking out his anger over his gambling losses on Mitsuda and his mother. His mother was a typical housewife, trying her best to support her family and keep Mitsuda on the right track in life. At the age of 16, Mitsuda was quite busy, working 2 day jobs and eventually dropping out of high school just to keep him and his mother alive after his father left for a new, younger wife. At the age of 21, he joined the Yakuza, earning himself a position in the Majima Family as a simple debt collector and errand boy to start.

Mitsuda knew there was no turning back after he was sent to collect money from a notorious drunkard who had been falling behind on his payments lately. Mituda's body was trembling with hatered as he locked eyes with his father in a dimly lit alleyway next to Kamurocho's biggest pachinko parlor. He was uncharacteristically silent as he clenched his fists, taking a running start as his fist made contact with the side of his father's head with a worrying crunch. He could feel his knuckles start to bruise and split open as he repeatedly striked his father's bloodied and bruised visage. Mitusda ignored the man's pleas and gurgles as he continued his assault, only briefly pulling away to pull out a switchblade from his jackets inner pocket, clenching the handle with one hand as the other grabbed his father's wrinkled shirt collar. Only then did the other family member who tagged along with him step in, catching Mitsuda's raised arm by his wrist and twisting hard, forcing him to drop his blade. He was reminded - scolded even - that this lowlife wasn't worth going to jail over, getting the family in deep shit over. A shaky breath escaped his busted lips as he stood up, giving one last kick to his father's gut, eyes lingering on the shaking form of his father, blood and spit running down his chin, before picking up his wallet and throwing it to the other family member as they made their way back to the neon flooded main streets of Kamurocho. An arm draped over Mitsuda's shoulders. "You've got guts, kid. Just don't go getting too big for your britches."

"Yeah. Thanks."

Goro Majima Boss

Patriarch of the Majima family. Majima pays little mind to his goons, but Mitsuda's odd behaviour around him makes him quirk his brow in a mix of confusion and disgust. Majima often likes to mess with new family members, and Mitsuda is no exception. He's almost impressed with how much spunk this weird kid has.
