• Has a fear of heights when he's not in a plane. The fear used to be worse when he was a kid, but it's gotten better over the years.
• Has a small black and white paint horse figure that he has for some reason been very attached to since he was a kid.
• Never cared about history until he became a part of it.
• In his free time, Jesse is a hobby-mechanic, plays guitar and video games.

• In 1993, Heather Dawson was a 23 year old nurse working in Sacramento, California. On a trip near Lake Tahoe one day, Heather stumbled upon portal to travel through time and accidentally ended up in 1865. Unable to travel back to her own time at first, she had no other choice but to live among strangers in the past for a short bit, finding lodging in Virginia City, Nevada.  Having medical practice, she found work as an assistant to the doctor in town.
• Being outspoken and ahead of her time, Heather quickly got into trouble with other townspeople and because she had befriended the Cartwrights, she was invited to stay at Ben Cartwright's ranch for protection. Not wanting handouts, Heather worked at the Ponderosa by helping around the house and mending injured ranch hands.
• Heather and the youngest son of Ben Cartwright, Little Joe, became good friends which eventually turned into love. Eventually they got married, and after 3 years Heather got pregnant.
• Three years after arriving in 1865, after marrying Joe Cartwright and becoming pregnant, Heather traveled home to her own time. She and Joe agreed it'd be safer for her and the baby in her time. Heather having lived beside the Cartwrights for the last 2 years, experiencing shootouts, gunfights, hold ups, outlaws and all kinds of dangers the west could offer.

1998-2023:

• Heather raises Jesse on her own while working on her medical studies. In his childhood, Jesse and Heather would move alot, living in my different places due to Heather's work. Eventually she graduates as a surgeon and they settle down somewhere more permanently.
• When Jesse is 18, he begins flight training to later become a Naval Aviator.
• Earns his callsign "Wrangler" from a incident where he tried to show off to his friends by wrangling a bull at a friend's family farm, which gave him a whooping (and a scar on his chin from the bull's horns).
• Heather falls ill in 2020, and passes away in 2022. After falling ill, she finally tells Jesse about his father, and unveils the whole truth about her time in the past

• After his mother's death and learning the truth about his father (and some soul searching) Jesse makes plans to travel back in time the way his mother did and find/confront his father. His travel is however an accident and abit premature, and quickly finds himself lost in 1890's Nevada.
• Eventually he finds Joe, and realizing his father is not bad man he made up in his mind, goes to live with the Cartwrights on the Ponderosa. The rest of his family.
