Seohwa (one who is auspicious/successful) is a Liyuean native who formerly attended the Sumeru Akademiya, but now travels Teyvat.
She works often with the Adventurer's Guild as a well-known, highly skilled traveler who is very knowledgeable of all the nations, but often elects to travel on her known. Katheryne is always happy to see her pass by the Adventurer's Guild whenever she's in a city.
Born into a small family in Liyue Harbor, Seohwa abandoned the dreams her parents had projected onto her and sought her freedom instead. When she is in the cities, Seohwa is oftentimes in Mondstadt, but is seen almost anywhere at any time of the year.

Rejoin the Akademiya? You flatter me... I would have always wanted to be a Herbad. But the state of the Akademiya- the name of scholarly knowledge is eternally sullied for me. I will pursue knowledge in the freedom I have earned.
No matter the dangers I face out in the wilderness- I feel the most alive when I'm there. Would I be any more alive than a dead man should I have confined myself to libraries and classrooms? There is more knowledge outside the walls of the Akademiya... I hope you realize that one day.

Personality
Disciplined as a Liyuean, in constant pursuit of knowledge as a Sumerian, and free as a Mondstadtian... that is Seohwa.

Relatively anti social and preferring the peace of traveling alone, Seohwa is an adventurer who passes by occasionally in a town or city. She is pleasant to talk to and soft spoken, but surprisingly stubborn and only takes jobs that she wants to. Seohwa is very content with her life and encourages others to take destiny into their own hands. Never seems perturbed by the words of others and blows through softly like a breeze.
Appearance
Liyuean by race- has dark brown hair and grayish eyes. Her skin is somewhat tanned from some years in the sun, but not particularly dark, with a mole under her left eye and right lip tip. Seohwa isn't fairly short and is often seen with her hair tied up, although strands of her hair is always over her eyes.
Wears butterfly charms in her hair and throughout her clothes, including her right earring. Bears rectangular classes upon her nose and is seen most often with a gold and brown jacket over her shoulders. Seolhwa's clothes are diverse in style in terms of nation, but always are of golden and brown threads. Her vision is always affixed by a strap going around her collar, located on her sternum.

- Traveling: The bane of her existence- her purpose in life is to constantly travel and never let her roots down.
- Wind: Feeling the wind in her hair, engulfing her and the epitome of the feeling of freedom.
- Quests: Fun little adventures in an area to solve a puzzle or guide a client somewhere.
- The Unknown: Still a scholar by heart, always learning new things from the brand new experiences around her.
- Mondstadt: Perhaps her favorite nation by far- the nation of freedom where people seem so carefree. Would settle here if not for her wanderlust.
Dislikes:
- The Akademiya: Has long since observed the corruption of academics in the institution and has renounced it forever. Despite offers to return, she never will.
- Boredom: Only seems to engage in what interests her and drops everything if it becomes dull.
- Staying in One Place: Must always be on her way out of the place she is.
- Rain: Oftentimes more bother than peaceful when she is traveling, but enjoys the rain on her face.
- Boat Rides: Gets seasick, and it's hard/expensive to get a ride to Inazuma.
Hobby:
- Adventuring: Finding and recording new places, solving puzzles, finding treasure, interacting with the native people or flora/fauna.
- Wind Gliding: Jumping off high places and feeling the wind in her hair as she slowly floats down.
- Reading: Visits the libraries of whatever town she is in to borrow a book. Always brings it back in mint condition.
- Singing: Softly sings songs to herself while traveling alone.
- Writing: Constantly is writing in her notebook- her experiences, new things she has observed, etc.

Character Details
The Butterfly Traveler sweeps into town- gathering supplies and receiving commissions from the Guild. She stops to speak to the shopkeepers she is familiar with, the friends she has made along the way. In the blink of an eye, she is gone. In the wilderness, she leaves camp the morning after. She is like a breeze- gentle and quiet, sweeping past you so siletly she may not even be noticed.
Story 1
Seohwa was born into a small, middle class family in Liyue Harbor. The only child of her family with a father the merchant whose business suffered highs and lows, both of her parents subjected her to elaborate ambitions that were not her own. Despite the great great conviction she displayed in her studies, Seohwa was never granted a vision, but was accepted into the Sumeru Akademiya- much to the delight of her parents.
Story 2
She spent her first two years at the Akademiya as a faithful student with little complaint. Seohwa loved the pursuit of knowledge, but could not help but feel distraught by the commodification of knowledge in the Akademiya. She often refused to wear her Akasha terminal, but was otherwise a model student. Seohwa was no genius, but a bright student nonetheless who could probably easily become a Herbad within a few years. That was why it was so shocking when one day, she quit her life in the Akademiya and immediately vanished.
Story 3
Seohwa travels the world- to wherever next she finds an interest in. She rarely sleeps in the same bed twice, blowing through Tevyat like a soft breeze. Oftentimes she will come to the aid of an ill fortuned adventurer, or take commissions for solving some sort of puzzle. However, Seohwa seems to mostly enjoy the calmness and solitutde of being alone. Despite this, she has met many friends who are travelers like her- and they will often travel together for some time whenever they meet. Seohwa entrusts fate will guide her to those she loves most.
Vision
One day, Seohwa had enough. She could not bear to look herself in the mirror when she knew her part in the Akademiya. She had long since lost her love for knowledge, knowing that every action and new discovery was transactional. It slowly built up in her, but to those who observed her from outside, it was sudden.
One day, Seohwa approved Akademiya Administration and submitted her drop out request. Within hours, she vacated her dorms and packed her life into one bag, and disappeared. As she looked back at the sight of Sumeru City perched upon a tree, she felt a strong breeze of air. In her hand which clutched her bags, she noticed the teal glint of an Anemo vision. One day... she would return.

- Seohwa's Anemo magic manifests in the form of butterflies (like Venti's feathers and Jean's dandelions).
- Her gameplay would be revolved around buffing specific types of elemental damage, including Anemo and Geo, representing her flexibility.

Kunimitsu
Friend and occasional travel companion while in Sumeru. Seohwa is unaffected by Kuni's sharp words and enjoys his company. Kuni is intrigued by her carefreeness and kindhearted behaviors.
Xiao
Once defeated monsters drawn by Xiao's karma before him. She recognizes him from legends of the Vigilant Yaksha and visits Wangshu Inn to give him presents. Sometimes patrols Liyue together.
Lisa
Seohwa frequents Mondstadt, and they are both Akademiya dropouts. Drinks tea together and Seohwa gives the Knights intel. Lisa allows her to borrow books for extended periods of time for her travels.
Kazuha
Seohwa often catches a ride on the Crux for faster travel, and oftentimes travels for some time with Kazuha separate from the Crux. Both are relatively carefree and talented travelers.
