Visata was abducted as a child in 1652 and turned into a vampire alongside another human named Vasyl. Both children were given a diet of royal jelly that was cultivated by their cult abductors from what they believed to be blood from the first ruler of Vaeternus, Kahil Gregesh. The cult was comprised vampires that used to follow Gregesh in his council or were royalists from that time, who despise the current coven ruled society that has caused this major food shortage. Visata took to her vampiric state with vigor not shared by her fellow captive, resulting in her larger stature, wingspan, and power in comparison to Vasyl.

Upon rumor of two potential claims to Vaeternus' throne, the cult quickly rushed the vampire children to an Earthrealm compound where they continued being raised as if being prepared for royal duties. Visata felt much more draw to commanding the throne, whereas Vasyl remained hesistant to embrace such a role. Despite the cult's precautions, coven loyalists stormed the compound and slew the royalist cult, with Visata and Vasyl barely escaping and separated.

Visata mourned her claim to her throne, the luxuries promised to her, once again orphaned. The blood of Kahil Gregesh meant nothing but hardship to the young girl, even the security of the cult gone. She snuck into a live ballet performance of Swan Lakejust seeking out warm bodies and blood, but was caught off guard by the swell of the orchestra. Visata sat through the entire showing with an empty stomach but a full heart, her passion for Earthrealm arts born out of the fateful night and forever changing the course of her life.
