"Hold on to what you care about."

Russel was an astronaut before his ship crashed (it never even made it into orbit). He survived, but had to exchange almost every part of his body for robot parts . He is now a lot more cautious after coming so close to death, but he still loves space with all of his (mechanical) heart.

He communicates by playing clips and bits of other people's voices from his memory, since he can't quite remember what his own sounded like. As the sole survivor of the crash, he tries to use the voices of his late fellow astronauts as often as possible, in an attempt to preserve what he has left of them.
