Her voice always seems soft, but the words that come out are dry and serious. Truthful to a fault, she is both the worst and best person to ask for an opinion. She doesn't fully understand why the things she says seem strange to others and takes it to heart. Words are precious to her, and it hurts her when people misuse them or are forced into silence. Contrast to many of her friends, she isn't what one would consider nice. She is critical, stern, and doesn't want to sacrifice herself for others. The only saving grace she seems to have, is that her critiques come from a good place, and she is often correct. Just very, very blunt. .

At the beginning, Maris's only purpose was to be a sister. Hundreds of failed clones built up her body, each one growing closer to the ideal that the Creator craved. Every update improved upon her until she was perfect. Eternally 19, studious, helpful and loving to her father. She would help him around the house and with chores, and never missing a step. Never enough though, the Creator wanted a way to make her more real, and so he sought out an ancient magical artifact, and managed to make her real. Now she could feel, evolve, improve herself and be truly human.
That was almost perfect, but what would an older sister be without a younger sibling? And so the Creator made one for her. Maris offered a piece of her artifact to her sibling too, so they could learn like she did, and they accepted. Now fully improved, the two were as close as as can be, never arguing or fighting, and so they lived in peace.
But perfection can never last, and neither did her sibling. One night, the two fought for the first time. It was over something dumb, Maris believed that they had stolen her Astrology book and confronted them. Of course the Creator was upset to see his perfect creations fighting, so he took initiative to fix the problem, by starting again. Maris, after cooling off from their fight, went to apologize to them.
What they found instead, was their Creator dismantling her younger sibling. He didn't seem to mind much, once he had removed their artifact he just stared at her with sickening look in his eyes before he went to lunge for her next. She didn't waste another second before grabbing their body and fleeing.
From there she made her way to a run down town, and tried to find a home. She met *REDACTED* and although *REDACTED* found her odd, she pitied the two and invited them into her home. Maris refused to tell her what happened at that lab, but *REDACTED*brushed it off to offer as much help as she could, along with her sister *REDACTED*.
Nowawadays, Maris has a small apartment with her friend and roommate, and constantly on the search for a way to bring her sibling back, and get revenge on her creator.

The two used to have a good relationship, albiet Maris realized later it was entirely manipulation, and now Maris both despises and fears him. She cannot tell what will happen if he finds her.
