Backstory:

If one had to describe Luka in a few words, confident and assertive is not any of them. Born into a military family, he was the direct opposite of what could have been expected of him by everyone. Many expected him to inherit the legacy of service his father and their fathers, and it appeared he seemingly would. However, it would quickly become apparent to those close to him that he is only really going along with expectations due to being too shy to really stand up for himself. His actual interests would lie in stage magic, having interest in its application and its ability to bring smiles to people. After some practice, he would try out performing said magic, and ironically, be more confident looking in the spotlight compared to his normal demeanor. His parents allowed it, as they felt this was simply a phase in his life. Even so, they respected their son's hobby, and even got a supposedly special wand that he treasured immediately.

Unfortunately, not everyone would be so welcoming to his hobbies. He ended becoming something of a target by bullies, who often mocked his magic as something that is completely childish compared to battling. This especially became the case entering the Silver Claw Military Academy, where his magic hobbies became harder to do. Granted, he did have a friend who often came to his defence. However, said friend's overprotective nature made it difficult for him to be able to interact with others, and came with a reputation that he always needed rescuing. After a particularly bad day that both nearly had his prized wand destroyed and his friend's overprotectiveness costing him a new friend, he decided to leave the Academy, feeling he simply wasn't suited for such a place. However, not long after he left, he was eventually scouted out by the teachers of Avalon Academy. Apparently, he had some Aura potential that was already showing signs of emerging in small ways, and they wanted to help him properly hone it. Getting a chance to have a change a pace of his decision for once, he took the offer, becoming a student at the recently opened academy.
