HISTORY

Ennis grew up in the Southern Outposts in the Frozen Wastes. Her  hometown was particularly close with the local theriad community, giving  her a lot of experience with mainland culture. She was a very  gregarious child who loved exploring--much to the chagrin of her family,  who reminded her incessantly to never go alone. She was often paired  with her siblings and neighbors to keep an eye on her and keep her out  of trouble. When she was old enough, she joined a theriad caravan and  spent some time exploring Enchiron with them. She circled nearly the  entire Heartstone Road, but one night in Eniya, something happened: the  Night Market was in town. 

After spending so long among  mainlanders, it was a relief to reconnect with her own people, and she  stayed for the entire Market, gladly trading some of her souvinirs for  some home comforts. One ianthina, however, caught her eye: the captain  of the guard, Nkiru, stood apart from everyone else. Ennis was delighted  by Nkiru's quiet, wry sense of humor, and increasingly spent the whole  of the nights with her. When the Market came to a close, Ennis nearly  followed Nkiru back to Vristali, but she couldn't quite bear to leave  her theriad family on a whim. It wasn't until months later did Ennis  show up in Vristali--alone, much to Nkiru's chagrin--to continue her  journeys in Olitskur proper. 

In the end, Ennis's wandering ended  there. She settled down with Nkiru and joined the Night Market trader's  corps, so she could always be with her love. Her knowledge of mainland  customs has made her a rising star among the traders; she shares what  she knows freely, and never hesitates to step in and support her fellow  merchants.
