Dr. Valeska Alban

Dr. Valeska Alban is an Aresian who takes advantage of the lack of ethics in her homeland. Growing up in a place borne from escaped criminals, she was able to experiment on more frowned upon things. 

For instance, when her mother died, Valeska consumed her body out of pure curiosity for the taste. She was always seeking answers to questions, pushing impossible means. As she grew up, she took note of one of the main threats in Ares: giant pockets of permafrost which harbored dangerous gases within, and would sometimes explode due to the pressure of the gas. These gases, when inhaled over some time, could cause mutations to the skin and flesh. It was common to wear air filtration devices when in Ares. As for Valeska, she had the idea to study these permafrost pockets, and soon build a mass web of underground tunnels, all of which monitored certain pockets of these dangerous gases. Since she is the only one with knowledge on how to maintain balance within these gases, she is also able to turn the sector on it's head in a moment's notice. If threatened to a degree, she is unafraid of disabling the devices that keep the permafrost pockets at bay, leading to mass destruction from icy explosions.

One day, while studying an unbalanced pocket of gas trapped in permafrost, it exploded with her next to it. The thick ice shredded and stuck itself deep into her skin. She lost her eye from this incident, and has icy burns all along one side of her body. Her body is emaciated from the lack of food in the sector, as well as subzero temperatures.
