Cora is rather an... Interesting individual.
Thanks to his charming personality, Cora manages to blend in with the crowd very easily while attracting everyone's attention. As a micro-celebrity, he's very known around his city - his debut as a swimmer has really blown up around the place, and as a result people began to talk about him to an increasing extent.
Cora is a man of his word and he's never afraid to speak his mind - unwilling to hide any negative remarks, the outcome often leads to him hurting others, but he's really not giving much thought about it. As previously stated, he's very insensitive when it comes to understanding feelings - his relationships don't last for long, as he's seeing himself in such a high regard that no average person would be able to endure.
His superiority complex results in an inability to pay close attention to anyone around him. He cannot stand long conversations, as they "bore him to death", he NEEDS to talk about him and himself only. He'd much rather spend the whole day justifying his magnificent qualities than listen to a short talk about someone's day. Despite that, he can be quite lovely while interacting with close ones. As a Mexican, Cora values people he considers family - that alone fact makes him a pretty decent person when involved with friends. He loves sharing the same interests and hyping them up when needed.
Coming back to his popularity, what else shaped him to be clarified popular is the influence of public approval, the factor in which he shines out the most. The gimmick about Cora is that he'd do anything to be seen. He craves popular regard and acceptance from others, which influences his personality greatly. That encloses him to participate in dangerous events, as they're usually one of the reasons people gain in support or popularity. His immunity to fear really helps him paint an image of a kid, who's able to do anything and everywhere, and people LOVE him for that.
Let's go back personality-wise, another, less important "quality" of Cora is that he's not really smart - he never really liked taking his time to study, or anything of that matter. Not only can he hardly understand what people are saying, as he's not fluent in the english language, he's also the person to do first, think second - which sometimes leads to very unpleasant outcomes.
But there's one trait he is very sure about - flirting. Good looks and great small talk make him an amazing ladies' man - but as expected, Cora goes only for other's looks and nothing more. He's very sexual about what he does and after the deed is done he stops paying attention to the person he previously looked up into. Ironically, while he absolutely loves talking about himself, he despises any serious talk about his feelings. Bottling it up, unwilling to appear weak or lesser than the current image he has built of himself.
Not focusing on his personal troubles makes him very arrogant, and easily irritable. A small, impactless problem can result in him throwing a tantrum. His anger issues are unbearable for anyone around at that time - but it somehow grew into his "trait" that people can laugh about. As a public mascot, no one takes him seriously, to the point, that even violence wouldn't make them scared of him - quite the opposite, actually. They think it's funny, as "they're used to it" , they say.
In short - he's not a good person. He seems like one because of his popularity, but that's all there is to him. He's arrogant, hateful, very ignorant and doesn't tolerate anyone that isn't a good fit in his criteria. Sexualizes and objectifies people and lastly, a very bad listener.
