ASCENTSY is an unofficial, fan made ALTERNATE UNIVERSE.
Mia's first deployments from Eden were alongside Morph, and frequently they were the sole survivors of their expeditions into the corrupted wilderness of Valr. She harbors no love for Ascentsy, viewing their mission as woefully optimistic and fruitless, as well as wasteful.
She was able to get herself and Morph out of deployment and into research through sheer hard work, and after establishing themselves as valuable, she then took their skills to Valr, making Ascentsy come to them for their work rather than stay at the station (her brother's fear of heights helped justify this).
She was drawn into the struggle of the Prodigals, however she hasn't joined them directly-- she plays the part of a Valorant, and smuggles supplies to the runaways even while rubbing elbows and playing nice with Ascentsy. Mia sells poisons to the station while sending antidotes for those same poisons right to their enemies.
Mia and Morph were both owned by a pharmacist entrenched in some shady business practices. With Morph's help, Mia escaped, and was shortly contacted by Keppit. Her ex-owner was considered somewhat of a threat to a pharmaceutical branch of the company, Ascentsy, and they wanted to remove him from the scene. She more than happily obliged, helping to plan his assassination and being sure that the business he ran was inherited by the grem who helped her escape.
Afterwards, she built upon her friendship with the grem who contacted her from Ascentsy. He generously granted her some land, and she's spun a small profit out of renting out properties. She rents to grem businesses for super cheap, on the condition that they help her launder money and turn a blind eye to some of the goods she brings to their doorstep. She is callous and super aggressive when it comes to humans, but very sweet to most grems.

Mia is very sweet and doting, but can also be quite cruel and dismissive. She never forgets a debt owed, whether good or bad. She allows her bias to rule her impressions of people affiliated with larger groups, but her regard can be won by action rather than intention (though she will continue to press it as a teasing point). Though she doesn't trust people's word easily, she will trust their motivations, meaning she is easy to work with if goals align even if it is with enemies.
She has no qualms with getting her hands dirty if it's for the bigger picture, and she can be a bit of a hypocrite at times even if things feel like they make perfect sense to her. People are full of wonderful and awful contradictions.
She is willing to bide her time and play two faces for as long as necessary, and feels absolutely no discomfort when it comes to deception or trickery.
personality
Mia's dear family, for whom she would sacrifice everything except for herself. She lovingly teases Morph, and requests aid as much as she gives it without asking questions.
