Arum [spinxyn]

Cannis Primevère, or most often refered as "Arum", is the leader of a small group secluded from the population, in an small and old village with little access to any form of technology. Most people here lives of of agriculture, hunting or artisanal crafts like clothe making or wood working.

On paper, he presents this group as a way for nephfians feeling left out of society to find a stable community and restart a new life. It's not well known from the general public, little meaningful documentation exist and it is meant to be that way. The outsiders who knows of its existence just refers to it has a cult because of the shady practices taking place.

The cult is a way to not worship, even disrespect, the gods. It frowns upon the separation of spinxyns from the other species due to curses and gifts. It advocates for no curses or curses for all species, and sees it has a system that instigate jalousy, shame and unfairness.

The leader accept any soul who wish to join. It's mostly spinxyns who feel their curse was unjustified or harsh, but you can find other species who has a problem with the spinx's gift and curse system. Arum is seen a wise and perfect leader, he has absolute autority and the last word to everything. Even if it's a home for the "rejected", there is codes and rules to follow. The past of individuals might not be questioned but punishments can be severe if members don't align.

Often members feels a sence of superiority compared to the gods followers. They beleive that their community is the correct way of living, were rewards and punishements are not done with gifts and curses. Arum exploit the hatered of those individuals and expect full devotion to participate and help the community.

Arum is naturally serious, collected, with a small softeness in his voice. He is here to bring guidance and comfort to the nephfians who come to him. That's if your not getting on his bad side. He is not effrayed to injure or kill if needed or wanted. His personnality and mood clears up when his adopted child is involved. He becomes warmer, gentle and more  attentionate. 

He never speaks of his life, or more precisely his past. He only evoqued his mom a handful of times. He was hated by his community growing up due to a controversy in his familly. He got his harpip gift from a friend when he was a kid, before all went downhill. He hides is curses when traveling out of the village to not throw attention to himself. It also irritate him to no end when people look at him with disgust because of his exposed flesh. Not because he cares of what people think, but because he is appalled by "inferiors" being condescendent towards him. Arum always refer to himself as a man but doesn't correct people when they use feminine pronouns when meeting him, since his fem appearance is intentional. He also rarely wears clothes but when he does it looks like it was pulled from the last century.
