Yumi has long, slightly messy hair. She likes to keep it in a low braid or just let it hang over her shoulder. She has very light freckles all over her and is slightly embarrassed by them so she may or may not cover up some of them with concealer.

She usually wears very high-end clothes with some form of embossment or embroidery to it. She almost always has a pair of earbuds with her and she's always listening to music or something of the sort.

Yumi grew up watching many musicals and listening to various forms of music, which was further fueled by her father who was a professional DJ. Around the age of 13 Yumi started transitioning more permanently from a male to a female. Her family was extremely accepting and helped her during her transition. However, she grew apart from most of her peers due to the transitioning, but feels it was for the better.

During highschool she joined clubs focused around acting and drama. She kept her musical side of course but felt that acting and theatrical performing was her true passion and wanted to focus on that instead. Sometime later she walked past one of Devyn's performances and was enamored at how he could include such heartfelt and meaningful messages in his songs while still keeping the hip-hop/rap feel to it. After the show they both got to talking and found they had a lot in common and eventually became close friends and - soon enough - partners.
