Dr. Dante Wonderway

Dr. Dante Wonderway is something of an anomaly among demons and among changelings- as a demon being born to a human family has only ever been documented one other time. Dante was born to a Golden Road family- they believed that every being had a fate to follow, and any deviation from that fate would corrupt the soul. Dante's, they decided, was to lead by example- a demon who wouldn't follow the corruptive call of magic and indulgence.

This, obviously, did not pan out. Dante had a thorough love of the unknown and strange, a knack for building, and a desperate desire to go anywhere but home- so he took off from the nest as fast as he could, diving headlong into the weird and remaking himself.

Dante lived, as it happens, at a point in history known as the Age of Fear- a time when magic was under fierce attack, on the fritz, and threatening to go out entirely thanks to a group known as the Purifiers. Steeling his resolve, he worked with the Compass Rose to stop them- but when the Purifiers presented a plan to destroy all magic permanently, the premise was so outlandish nobody but him believed it was real. He found himself alone, then- with his old family spearheading the horrible plot, he returned home to stop it- and died himself in the process, his soul spilling from the broken form the Purifiers had sealed in a dungeon. In his undeath, he restored magic proper to the Triad- and resolved to spend the rest of his life sharing and indulging in the secrets and mysteries of the world that still remained.

Now, Dante- Dr. Wonderway to his listeners- hosts a radio show doing just that. Though its listener count caps out at just seven people, he's created a forum for them to talk about their own endeavors- and has bonded with his odd audience. He's proud of their accomplishments and happy to fuel their endeavors- but he's made a lot of enemies discovering all he has, and finds himself constantly on the run from the law, alien-seeking government agents.... and a trio of beings primordially powerful enough to take the world in less than a day. If he were to place his trust in others, who knows- they could get hurt or worse, and it'll be his fault.
....For his and everyone's sake, it's best to go it alone... right?
