Esthelm is a self absorbed form shifting demon who can change into any shape he pleases. He stays at the O.S.R.F (Occult Science Research Facility) where the scientific team there attempt to uncover the source of his abilities. She stays by choice, because he has a liking for the Captain (Arturo Altraine) that first found him. He consumes living creatures to sustain his spirit energy, usually humans.
He also controls the land of the dead and lost. It is a dark city washed in color by the neon lights far above. It is on another plane of reality and only accessible by dying filled with regret, getting lost in an unfamiliar city at night, or by a long ride in a dark Elevator in the center catacombs. The elevator is the only way to exit the city and come back to our reality but it’s strictly guarded and only specific persons are allowed to use it.
The city is surrounded by unending highways and vast nothingness. If you wander out into it, you disappear and no one knows what happens to you. Some people say this is where the concept of hell came from.
