ABOUT
Content enough with his job, doing maintenece and upkeep at a small outpost on a frozen tundra planet, Taza is a man who prefers to spend his time in general solitude. A detached man, known for typically delayed emotional reactions save for when he struggles to keep his impulses in check. He enjoys his dry sense of humor and whenever his elderly mother decides to pay a visit or when he's able to visit her for short periods of time.
He considered joining the USCM at the age of 17, but was deemed ineligible due to his schizophrenia and his impulse control disorder. Taza struggles to bond with other people due to his own internalized view of himself and not wanting to deal with other people growing distraught or losing trust in him due to lack of impulse control.
BIOGRAPHY
"I can't lie to you about your chances, but... you have my sympathies."
Jicarilla Apache and Vietnamese, Taza grew up without his father being heavily involved in his life due to his father being out on salavge runs constantly. Having been raised primarily by his mother, Taza grew close to her and the pair overcame struggles together. Having grown up watching his mother struggle with finances and Weyland Yutani not willing to provide much help with conflicts on the colonies they often lived on, as soon as he reached the age of 16 he started looking for work to help her out.
Growing up, Taza has dealt with hallucinations and delusional episodes that progressively got worse with age. As a teenager he'd be explosive in response, believing he was seeing one thing when nothing was actually there, fearing for the safety of his mother and himself regularly until he was able to receive a diagnosis for schizopheria and an impulse control disorder, both of which seemed to exacerbate each other in distressing cycles. He's put on medication and put through behavioral therapy to manage things better but is something he will deal with for the rest of his life.
Graduating from highschool with average grades, he picked up more work to assist his mother and sustain himself by working in outposts. He doesn't love the work but it pays enough and he enjoys the solitude of working in more desolate outposts to complain too much.
RELATIONS
Hardworking and humorous mother who is the only person Taza feels comfortable being more open around.
Met under less than ideal circumstances, the pair occasionally exchange banter but one clearly seems to like more than the other. It's not Taza.
Taza is furious and immedietley distrusts the young man after discovering his actions led to a small xenomorph outbreak on Earth despite his efforts of correcting the event.
