- Deerlore's hair and wardrobe relfect my own. I draw them in a lot of my own outfits and change their hair when I get a haircut hehe.
- They are the latest of my deer sonas. I've had deer represent me since I was like 11!
- Deerlore is the Anglish word for Ecology. Anglish is a conlang focused on linguistic purism in English.
Design Notes
- Deerlore is plantigrade! They still have hooves though :)
- They are either represented as a deer or a peryton. The wings are optional, but their fangs are not.
- Deerlore is based on a handful of creatures, including a chinese water deer, a whitetail, and a turkey vulture.
- 99% of the time they do not wear shoes, their hooves aren't really shaped for it.
- Their antlers go through a normal growth cycle, meaning they shed once a year! Deerlore can be drawn at any point in this cycle, but are usually depicted with full growth.
