Fluffy wave is a pale lavender with white alicorn. Her parents were separated by Fluffy's birth as they were both from unicorn families and Fluffy was not only a unicorn. After the separation of both parents the mother decided to take Fluffy to the princesses to help her turn her daughter into a unicorn but she could not enter the castle to see any of the princesses. She decided to hide her daughter and raise her in secret from the people and without the help of any other pony. When Fluffy got a little older, her mother realized that her wings were bigger than normal and eventually Fluffy could not fly, no matter how hard she tried, she only managed to rise a few centimeters and then fall to the ground.

A few years later she moved to Ponyville. She didn't have any friends since every time someone saw her wings they laughed at her, the pegasus bragged that her wings were normal and the unicorns made fun of her unstable magic. One day rumors of an alicorn reached the ears of the princesses and they decided to go in search of her. The princesses decided to teach her magic but Fluffy was not able to control it very well since she used it all her life to be able to fly she needed to use too much magic for a single flight of 40 minutes which made her horn had to generate more magic for the constant use, due to the exsesive and constant use of magic her horn became bigger and her magic was more difficult to control for other spells that were not to help her fly. Luna decided to make her her student by helping her to control spells and use her magic in a stable way.
