Nadira is a priestess/physician who got dragged into aiding and abetting a wanted fugitive after healing him from wounds inflicted by bounty hunters. 

While she's compassionate and likes helping people, she finds actually interacting with them to be awkward and uncomfortable. She'd much rather deal with an unconscious patient rather than one who's awake. 

She's well-educated and intelligent, with an intricate knowledge of human physiology. She left the temple where she was educated to care for an abandoned shrine to a lesser known saint, and this is where she first encountered Vulture.
