Crumb has a fixation on plants and their possible uses, often stealing flower buds or clipping of leaves from city homes and gardens to fuel their experiments. Lacking artistic skill, they instead have a small leather book of pressed flora with small notes scrawling across the pages. They’re rarely seen without their book in hand or strapped to their side.
The kobold has developed a close pack loyalty with the few friends they made in the orphanage; they are the only few able to convince Crumb to act outside of their own interests. Otherwise, Crumb is required to be compensated (bribed) with food, plants, or currency. Journeys to new regions (and by extension new flora) are also key motivators for them. Crumb is generally untrusting of others, but does not despise all humanoid species like most Kobolds due to their upbringing (or lack thereof).
Crumb wishes to one day publish books on the surrounding flora and their uses. The true dream being to own a large grimoire that is able to magically produce images and scents of each plant; however they will settle for finding an artist skilled enough to paint the most delicate of flora accurately.
Design
Crumb’s scales are a gold base with splotches of dark-orange and brown that resemble the pattern of a sunset ball python morph. Their throat and belly scales are a soft cream color and eyes a mossy green with flecks of gold. Their horns are a brown, tree bark color.
Crumb “fashion” is pretty sparse clothing wise, wearing only an embroidered leather cloak and a leather bandolier with clips for potion bottles, bags and a book cage. Accessories of choice are usually decorating their horns with vine wrappings, dangling jewelry, and a brass locket necklace.
Design Notes
- To deal with their light sensitivity, crumb has a small pair of tinted goggles that also double as safety goggles for potion brewing.
