Mallowstar

A once lean tom who has grown skinny and shakey with age. He has a white pelt with orange spots and green eyes. Some of his claws have broken over the moons.

A tom who is lax about the warrior code with his own clan. Many see him as easy-going and friendly, though some have also seen him as a pushover for the rules. He can be rather stubborn, especially in his older age. Mallowstar is more than willing to fight for what he thinks is territory that rightfully belongs to his clan.

Pre-RP

Mallowkit was born in Thunderclan and raised by loving parents who doted on him. The young tom wasn't the most energetic and in worry his mother would take him to see the medicine cat, though it was determined to just be a more laid back attitude. The fears of losing him put to rest, Mallowkit was allowed to go about his kithood in peace. He enjoyed listening to elder's tales over playing with other kits even up until it was time for his apprenticeship.

As an apprentice, Mallowpaw would train to be a loyal warrior to Thunderclan. However, his views on the code began to bring doubts on his mind to just how strictly it should be followed. Often berated for his eye-rolls at the code, Mallowpaw would eventually stop complaining about it and focused more on his training. Overall, he was an average apprentice and didn't appear to hold any ambition, seemingly going with the flow of life. His parents would be disappointed in his lack of effort to stand out from the rest but Mallowpaw turned a deaf ear to their critiques.

Mallowheart would gain his warrior name and go on to live life as a warrior. Many of his moons were spent simply hunting for the clan and going on patrols. Life was... mostly peaceful aside from the occasional battles for Sunningrocks. He would eventually gain an apprentice of his own to train. It was an interesting time for him, as he learned how to be a mentor. Succeeding when he saw his apprentice go on to become a warrior in their own right.

When Vixenstar became the leader, she picked Mallowheart to the surprise of many. He'd never asked for anything other the warrior life, certainly not deputy! But he accepted the position. He would be at Vixenstar's side throughout many battles against Riverclan for Sunningrocks. Win or lose, plenty of blood was shed under her leadership. And a short one it turned out to be.

When Vixenstar lost her final life in battle, Mallowstar would return to Thunderclan as its new leader at 75 moons—just fifteen moons after he became deputy to begin with. He'd pick a more reasonable cat named Webstripe as his deputy and life would... start to calm under his leadership. Battles still sprung up but it was nothing compared to the war that started between Shadowclan and Windclan.

He kept Thunderclan out of the battle, refusing to take a side and drag his own clan into the mess. Meanwhile, Redstar would give Sunningrocks to Thunderclan—with the stipulation it was temporary and only until the war ended—in order to focus on being able to help provide herbs to Windclan. Ignoring the part where it would one day be given back, Mallowstar accepted the deal and life went on much more peacefully for the clan.

As the moons passed, his deputy would pass from age and leave the aging leader to pick a new deputy. Mallowstar would choose the young tom, Sunglow despite the warrior still training his first apprentice. Not long after, a small skirmish would break out at the rocks despite the formerly established peace and Thunderclan would lose a warrior named Jaggedwhisker to the currents. Even worse news would come 7 moons later when Dawnfire returned to camp with news that Sunglow had fallen from a tree while hunting, passing from the fall. Still wanting a younger deputy, Mallowstar picked Sunglow's brother, Dawnfire, as his new deputy in hopes to also make up for the sorrow the young tom must've felt.

The war ended and the time to give the rocks back arrived. Mallowstar refused, sending his clan into battle with Dawnfire at his side. Despite feeling in the right, Mallowstar's fight ended in failure along with more casualties for Thunderclan. Elderly and growing ever weaker, Mallowstar held frustration for his last battle as leader being a failure for his clan and refused to speak to any reason coming from Riverclan.

His last life would slip away when his age caught up to him for the final time. Mallowstar was certain that Dawnstar would do what he could not in his last moons: make Thunderclan strong. He gave his former deputy a life for sympathy, hoping the rather code-strict tom would use it well to understand why things may not always be black and white when it came to code breaks.
