i.i PERSONALITY
The Fierce Flame of Kamura, hero of the village and the kingdom combined. Nobu has toppled just about every monster you can think of, and certainly has the skill to live up to his titles. Being the hero is no easy task, however, and he often finds himself wishing Elder Dragons would just disappear for a while and let him take a well-deserved break. He feels as though he has to live up to his name and believes failing to handle the constant onslaught of threats will let everyone down.
Generally, in his off time, he's a pretty fun-loving guy- takes after Master Utsushi quite a bit in that department. While most might expect to find the great hero off practicing in the training area to keep himself sharp, he actually stays as far as he can from it. He gets enough practice by being out in the field so often and prefers using his free time to have fun or relax.
ii. BACKGROUND
i.i EARLY-LIFE
Kamura's villagers found him as a baby one night with no trace of the parents in sight. Assuming the worst, they took him in and he was raised like any child born in Kamura. Fugen the Elder chose his name, and became a bit of an on-and-off father-figure in Nobu's eyes. He had (and still has) a lot of respect for the man, and always wanted to be like him.
With his sights set on becoming a monster hunter when he grew up, he was given a palico and a palamute as a birthday gift. These two would soon become his best friends; his companions through thick and thin.
i.ii YOUTH
When he was old enough to begin training, Master Utsushi took up the mantle as his mentor and allowed him to start trying out weapons. It didn't take Nobu long to decide he wanted to take up Dual Blades, and so that's what Master Utsushi trained him with. He would always recommend that Nobu try other weapons to have some sort of backup, but he has yet to take this advice, even in the present.
He wasn't anything special, really. Master Utsushi saw potential in him, but it would be a while before that potential was fully realized.

iii. TRIVIA
- The name Nobu means "prolong" or "stretch". Elder Fugen chose it to symbolize the way Kamura saved (or prolonged) his life by taking him in as a baby.
- As a Dual Blades user, he generally prefers lighter armor that's easy to move around in. Clunky armor is loud and the sound bothers him.
- If he had to choose one, his favorite species of monster would be the Goss Harag. Fighting with giant blades of ice? Awesome.
- Collects plushies and has quite a number of them in his home. His favorites, unsurprisingly, are the Stuffed Goss Harag Dual Blades.
- Rarely removes the fox mask he wears on his face unless he's very comfortable, but many of Kamura's villagers have already seen what lies underneath.

Elemental Dual Blades
Various sets of Dual Blades, each aligned to a particular element. There's one for Thunder, Ice, Fire, Water and Dragon.
Stuffed Goss Harag
Layered Dual Blades designed after a cute and cuddly Goss Harag. Squeaks upon striking an enemy and turns a bold red when entering Demon Mode.

Fox Mask
A mask with a fox-based design. Covers the wearers upper face, leaving onlookers to wonder just what could be behind there.
Black Belt Mail S
A lightly armored top. Leaving the shoulders bare may not be a wise combat decision, but it's certainly a fashion statement.
Almudron Vambraces
Miraculously tough vambraces. The unique material stiffens over time by absorbing mud, and the claws make for a decent weapon in a pinch.
Nargacuga Coil
A black belt reminiscent of Nargacuga wings. The shiny fur has a supernatural aura.
Grand God's Peer Feet
An ancient figure's leg armor. Their stride, never resting, grants one peerless agility.
v. RELATIONSHIPS
v.i FAMILY
Fugen the Elder
FATHER-FIGUREOne of the villagers who found Nobu as a baby. He views Fugen as a bit of a father-figure, even though he's often busy with work around Kamura. Highly respects him as a leader.
Minoto + Hinoa
SISTER-FIGURESOften played and hung out with Nobu when he was young. He sees them similarly to how one would view siblings and treats them as such. Enjoys their company when he's home.
v.ii FRIENDS
Master Utsushi
MENTORUtsushi taught Nobu everything he knew about Dual Blades right up until he became a hunter himself. He gets along with him easily due to his carefree personality.
