A seclusive Ninja hailing from Fallabor Town, who spends most of his time in the Northwestern corner of Hoenn.
The falling ashes of Mt. Chimmney make for excellent training grounds for whatever ninjas are left surviving in Hoenn. Riku has made a home out of them, and spends much of his time in Route 113.
Riku has trained along the ashes to make use of them, and display both how harsh their nature can be, and how beautiful it can be at the same time. He is capable of disappearing under smoke bombs made of volcanic ash, and his team is composed of Pokemon residing in the nearby areas. Together, they all operate best under Sandstorm conditions. His heritage, along with his talents made him an excellent spy among the ranks of Team Magma.
In his downtime, Riku plays a glass flute similar to a Celestica Flute. It is also made with the volcanic ashes of Mt. Chimmney.
- The heat; it is an excellent test of strength and stamina.
- Watching bird Pokemon.
- Stones, minerals, and collecting them.
- Loose leaf tea.
- Too much water.
- Alcohol of ANY kind. Especially the smell.
- Humid spaces are ironically more suffocating than dry spaces. To him, at least.
- The spot on the centre of his hood resembles that of an Absol's.
- Despite Team Magma's supposed Ground Type focus, Team Magma do not have pure Ground Type teams. Riku does not either, but has the most ground types on his team. Of those Pokemon, two of them are not found in Hoenn.
- Riku summons his Skarmory as a ride Pokemon using his flute. Much like how ancient trainers in Hisui used to do.
- Flygon is Riku's only offensive Pokemon. Every other Pokemon is defensive in nature.
- Riku's English localised full name is Dion Everest.
Riku's lead Pokemon, and primary ride Pokemon. A resilient Pokemon who excels in hunts even in sandstorms. Knows Spikes, Steel Wing, Drill Peck, and Iron Defense.
A powerful fortress of a steel type Pokemon. Usually paired up with Skarmory in Double Battles, making the pair a strong first line of defense. Knows Sandstorm, Brick Break, Heavy Slam, and Earthquake.
Runerigus is another option for a lead Pokemon, replacing Skarmory. This Pokemon specializes in hazards to dwindle down enemy health no matter the defenses. Knows Will-o-Wisp, Stealth Rock, Earthquake, and Toxic Spikes.
A durable Pokemon who's primary tactic is to stall and survive. This Pokemon functions more as a Poison Type, like the common Golbat in a Team Magma grunt's team. Knows Recover, Toxic, Sludge Wave, and Protect.
Riku's first and only fire type Pokemon. A Pokemon met and caught within Mt. Chimney, this defensive Pokemon uses mostly fire type moves. Knows Lava Plume, Clear Smog, Flamethrower, and Double Team.
Riku's partner Pokemon. Like many, he wishes it had a mega evolution to make it stronger. He has known this Pokemon since it was a Trapinch. Knows Dragon Pulse, Earthquake, Dragon Dance, and Stone Edge.
