Steele the Jackal (He/Him)

SP 2 , STR 4 , TR 1

A jackal who grew up thieving from towns and hijacking robots for fun. He was an underdog that grew up to be a leader of his mercenary squad like the natural leader he is. Unfortunately, he got them in major trouble when they robbed a bank, stealing the gems and gold inside, and found out that they'd gotten the attention of GUN. They would be arrested on the spot if they were ever seen again. Thinking fast, Steele decides to start an infiltration job. He would join the GUN ranks and ascend the ladder high enough to be able to wipe the records of the robbery.

Inside, he quickly makes a name for himself as a powerful and cocky new recruit. He manages to go toe to toe with the strongest units. But on his first mission he causes many blunders, resulting in getting yelled at by a Gunmaster named Vegas. The two argue and fight, and Steele keeps up a good defense in order to win. He stays patient, knowing he can't win if he matches Vegas’ fast attacks. It pays off, because when Vegas is tired enough, Steele rushes him with a slurry of relentless slashes. He smirks when he eventually gets Vegas down. The fight was seen by everyone in the yard. The mighty tenrec leader defeated by a “reckless, no-name” jackal. A tiger named Moon intervenes. She knocks Steele down fast, establishing the hierarchy. All three go to a room to talk. Vegas is brash and dismissing Steele's win as luck, and Steele is bragging like there's no tomorrow. Moon cuts them both off and says that she wants Steele on the field more, with his skills they could do a lot of good. The catch is that he has to work with everyone, with his team. No more running in alone and risking everyone's life. She's only giving him one chance, and if he messes up, he's going to climb the ladder from recruit again. Steele sees the high stakes. His mercenary squad could get off faster if he agrees, but he only has one chance. He may have smiled with smug when he agreed, but deep down this was the start of a serious change for him.

Currently, he's an operative that has been on several missions with Moon and Vegas. Long stories short, he had more than one chance because he did mess up a few times, but Moon wasn't as cold as she might've seemed. They gave him many tries to be a good teammate. With every one, he gained their trust and slowly learned to trust them back. He still play fights with Vegas often, and goofs off with Ollie or Coda, but he answers to Moon's lead. He's getting paid for the training he'd already done by being in a merc squad, and now he has a weird… friend group here. Steele's happy. And he is still looking for a way to wipe the logs on his squad, but for now, he is having fun.

He specializes in hand to hand combat, using his thick claws to tear metals like it's nothing. Whenever he gives off the guise of being cornered, it's easy to forget he can use the claws on his feet too. He fights dirty as well, making him extra intimidating. He absolutely hates being seen as weak, he'll challenge anyone who questions his abilities.
