Personality

timid β€’ innocent β€’ curious

Birchwing is a young, shy, and inexperienced deinonychus. Only recently separated from her parents and hatchmates, she is learning how to survive. She is often lonely, but quickly distracted by the wonder and curiosity of the vast and intimidating world she finds herself in.

Birch is very small but has high speed, quick maneuverability, and an impressive jumping height. She will use her winged arms and large fanned tail to achieve better balance while turning. However, the tiny predator struggles to take down even small creatures, and often has to resort to any source of nourishment available.

Generally Birch avoids any other dinos out of instinctive fear, regardless of her naturally friendly and curious nature.

Likes
  • birch forests, moss, small caves and hollow trees
  • lavender, snowdrops, lilies of the valley
  • soft snow, undergrowth, quiet and peaceful areas
  • hunting very small critters
Dislikes
  • molting and shedding
  • rain, water, wet feathers
  • storms, loud noises, hunger
  • big dinos, being chased
Habits : When she is not foraging or exploring, Birchwing spends a lot of her time hiding and resting in little caves and other small hiding places. She is cathermal but often more active during the day.
Trivia
  • Birch is small even for a deinonychus and looks younger than she actually is, she is nearly a young adult but still looks more like a juvenile.
  • She molts every fall and grows a winter coat that has thicker plumage and more snowy coloration to aid in camouflage.
