SUMMARY

Carl "C" Smith is an incubus born in Lust to unknown parents. He doesn't remember his early life, as it was marred by mistreatment. Carl was born with the ability to shapeshift and hypnotize, making him a hot commodity in Lust.
Eventually, he acquired his Asmodean crystal and was summoned to Earth by a wannabe Satanist whom he lived with for 5 years. He found walks of life among him in his time on Earth and became attached to them, making him believe in humanity. There, he chose the name Carl and self-actualized, even going to law school to become a defense lawyer under the name Carol Smith.
After years of devoting himself to being a lawyer and an NSFW streamer to pay his way through law school, Carl became burnt out. Unable to escape his binds, he turned to a cult for a taste of freedom. He was repeatedly drugged and lost himself in sexual highs, sleeping with humans of all kinds. Unfortunately, by the time the cult dissolved, Carl lost his career (presumed missing) and his sense of self.
Ultimately, Carl returned to Hell to find a new scene where he can feel like himself. He misses his friends on the surface terribly but is determined to find where he belongs.

Carl went by Carol during law school to compartmentalize, creating a cold, serious persona. Also, there aren't enough female lawyers.
Carl can shift into animals. His favorite is a hummingbird.

PERSONALITY & ABILITIES
In most situations, Carl can simply shift into a different form and escape. Other times, he can use his hypnosis to mesmerize his enemies, stunning them enough to run away. He doesn't believe in harming others and it's this defensive trait that gets him labeled a pansy by most other demons.

SHAPESHIFTING
꩜ To shapeshift, Carl must learn that person/creature's behaviors and mannerisms to a T. For example, he most commonly shapeshifts into a hummingbird because he fixated on them for several months to learn their anatomy and behavior. They are also small animals who are quick to flee. He treats every shift as a role that he needs to memorize and perform.
HYPNOSIS
꩜ Carl uses hypnosis in both SFW and NSFW spaces. He considers himself a hypnotist, taking great care of his clients and their confidentiality. He uses safeties (keeps a trigger word from popping up in normal conversation, making it exclusive to the hypnotist) to ensure his clients' safety.
MAINLINE STORY
Carl's time in Hell was punctuated by sexual services, most of which were against his will. Carl's father, Elliot, a fox demon from Greed, trafficked him with his shapeshifting abilities being the main draw. Carl escaped this life thanks to his Asmodean crystal that transported him to Earth. Once on the surface, he fell in love with humanity and chose multiple paths for himself that previously were limited to him in Hell.
As a streamer, Carl plays himself, an openly genderfluid NSFW streamer called C. Carl has the most creative freedom here from cosplay to sexual requests. C is focused on erotic hypnosis with many subjects in their streams. Their broadcasts are a blend of ASMR and guided meditation, with a BDSM theme and psychological control. C is a gentle dom who is capable of rough-housing.
The multiple occupations became a juggling act on Earth and while Carl was an excellent shapeshifter, he couldn't be at multiple places at once. Overwhelmed and lost in his identity, he was absorbed into a cult reminiscent of his early life in Hell. As a result, Earth was tainted for him, and he started over again in Hell, this time in Pride.
